Punsir and I have moved house again. I feel like I say that a lot, but I swear, we're not running from creditors or anything.
This is our second move with movers and truly, there are few luxuries that become necessities, but dang. We'll never go back. Of course, having other people haul your bits and bobs does open you up to conversations like, "Um, there seem to be a lot of boxes labeled 'Shoes,'" and "Do all these things really have string in them?" The answer to both those questions is obvious, Punsters.
I've just finished two deadline projects, and am slowly puttering away on a log cabin, sock yarn blanket from all the leftovers of the 2012 Sock Binge. I've organized my fabric (it has a snazzy cabinet now!) and unpacked my sewing machines. On today's To Do list is a trip to Ikea for a cutting table. Such a boondoggle: an entire table devoted to cutting out fabric!
Between packing our entire life in labeled cardboard and continuing to hunt for a full time job, life in the Punhouse has been in great transition. I'm hopeful that a new home with herald a new job, but in the mean time, I'm enjoying my crafting. I split my days between two part time positions, and am learning a lot about many things, so it's not a loss- not at all.
Congrats on the new abode! Looking forward to visiting you there. xo

I'm in the midst of packing too - my husband hasn't seen the HUGE box marked YARN yet.

Fun! So jealous of your movers - rather, of you hiring movers. But I think you're right about never going back. I'm afraid once I start hiring movers, I'll never lift a box again.
SO psyched for your new place and your CUTTING TABLE! Sounds surgical, now that I think of it. Not that sewing isn't precise, painstaking, and sometimes bloody. This is getting weird.
Congratulations!

Moving is the worst. I think my record is five times in a little over a year. Never again.
I'm glad to see you're happy. We need to catch up soon!

Tell me more about the log cabin. I have A LOT of sock yarn leftovers kicking around that I'm trying to decide what to do with them all. I've been following Chawne's progress as well :)
(Hi!)
