The Specs:
15 ridges (30 rows) of garter stitch, on US10s. Cast on 400 (yep, 400) stitches, and knit, knit, knit! 4 stitches to the inch, which makes the scarf just over 9 feet. I think I got a little over excited while I was casting on.
It's seriously squooshy. And enormous beyond all sense and comprehension. If I had it to do over, I'd definitely cast on fewer stitches. Like 175 fewer. Not that anyone's counting or anything.
I used up a skein of Noro Iro, a skein of Catalina Silk/Alpaca, half a skein of Koigu, a skein of Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk, half a skein of Jameson's Spindrift and half a skein of Weaving Southwest Mohair Boucle. I sort of opened the stash closet and went a little nuts. There are some little bits left over, hanging out on the coffee table, but all in all, a satisfying stash buster. And maybe even Christmas present. Not that I'm getting ambitious and starting in advance, or anything.
